THE ANNUAL STONEWALL CONVENTION AND AWARDS 2022

For the first time, the Annual International Stonewall Convention and Awards will be held both in person and virtually in Edmonton, Canada, to make it accessible to all.

The Stonewall convention and awards will bring together scholars, academics, activists, leaders, refugees, newcomers, and community members in search of solutions and synergies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of transgender and all gender diverse racialized people in social scapes while providing new learning arenas on the experiences of gender based violence, racism, and the intersectionality of being Black, Brown and 2SLGBTIQIA+ while celebrating Queer joy

The interactive Convention and Awards, also invites local QTBIPOC artists, speakers, activists, community leaders, and all community-based organizations, health care providers, and service providers to engage in civic engagement and connect with diverse communities

THE EVENT WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING THEMES

1. SOCIAL JUSTICE FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

2. CELEBRATING FORTITUDE

3. HEALING & WELLNESS

The Stonewall convention will be held on October 29, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree hotel, with the Queer Cultural Awards taking place the same day from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Muttart Conservatory.
